Special Screening — The Skaggs Catholic Center has been selected for a special screening of the premier of A.D. The Bible Continues, produced by Roma Downey. Wednesday, April 1, 7 p.m., in the Juan Diego Catholic High School auditorium, 11800 South 300 East, Draper. This particular part of the series narrates the Acts of the Apostles.

Divine Mercy Sunday — All are invited to the 2015 Area Wide Divine Mercy Sunday Prayer Service with adoration and the singing of the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3 p.m. April 12 at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 E Creek Road, Sandy. A rosary will be recited at 2:30 p.m. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. A dinner will follow.

The Grunt Padre, a documentary about military chaplain Father Vincent Capodanno, who committed his life and ultimately gave it up for the service of U.S. Marines fighting in Vietnam. Festival of Roses — May 15-17 at the Skaggs Catholic Center, 300 East 11800 South, Draper.  The festival is open to the entire community and offers live entertainment, carnival rides, games, silent auction, 5K Race and Family Fun Walk, classic car show and more. The Cathedral of the Madeleine will celebrate the Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Thursday, April 2, at 7:30 p.m. Compline will follow at 9 p.m., then Veneration of the Eucharist from 9:15 p.m. to midnight. Good Friday, April 3, the Passion of the Lord will be in English at noon, followed at 3 p.m. by the choral meditation “Stabat Mater.” Stations of the Cross in English will be at 5:30 p.m. The Passion of the Lord in Spanish will be at 7 p.m. On Holy Saturday, the Sacrament of Penance will be offered from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Vespers will be sung at 6 p.m. The Easter Vigil Mass will be at 8:30 p.m. On Easter Sunday, Mass will be celebrated in English at 8 and 10 a.m. and noon. Mass in Spanish will be at 3 p.m. Vespers and Benediction will be at 5 p.m.
