Humane Education Presentation — June 4, 7 p.m. on the St. Joseph CHS campus, 1790 Lake St., Ogden. The Aquinas Institute of Saint Joseph Catholic Schools will host a Humane Education presentation featuring Kathy Klotz, executive director of Intermountain Therapy Animals (ITA) of Salt Lake City; and Linda Weiskopf, local volunteer for Canine Companions for Independence. Free and open to the public.

Adult Confirmation — Saturday, June 4 at 1 p.m. in the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC.

Retirement Celebration — for Father Patrick Carley. Friends from the many parishes he has served are invited to join St. Joseph the Worker Parish June 5 for an outdoor Mass at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch; music will begin about 2 p.m. RSVP to office@sjtwchurch.org to allow for planning of refreshments.

Honoring Msgr. Moore — The St. Thomas More Fun Bunch senior group, 55 and up, will honor Msgr. Terence Moore for his 14 years of service Sunday June 5, during the 11:30 a.m. Mass at St. Thomas More Parish, 3015 E. Creek Road, Sandy. A cake reception will follow in Meyer Hall.
 
Summer Classes — Beginning Monday, June 6, Judge Memorial CHS will offer algebra, study skills for high school, culinary arts, driver’s training, metal sculpture, intro to physical conditioning, the modern American superhero (English class), ACT Prep Course, and the summer theater production of High School Musical (Junior Version). Garage Sale — The Blessed Sacrament Council of Catholic Women is holding their annual Garage Sale fundraiser on Friday and Saturday, June 10-11, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., at the parish, 1700 East 9800 South in Sandy. Ladies of Charity Barbecue — Sunday, June 12 from 12:30-2 p.m. at St. Olaf Parish’s McNamara Center, 1800 S. Orchard Drive, Bountiful. Tickets $10/per person, $25/family. Food, fun, raffle and silent auction. Bid farewell to Sister Cecilia Van Zant, Daughter of Charity, who is moving to California. Proceeds benefit those in need and the Center of Hope Food Pantry.

Stewardship curriculum — in English and Spanish for grades K-8 has been posted on the Diocese of Salt Lake City website, www. dioslc.org; click on the stewardship tab, then stewardship curriculum. There are nine lesson plans, lasting 10-15 minutes each. 

Family in need — St. Joseph parishioners Maria and Juan Duenas have newborn quadruplets. A Go Fund Me account has been established for donations at https://www.gofundme.com/7kwrvgwk. While Juan is working two jobs, Maria cannot work at this time and they are having difficulties in paying their bills. Generosity in helping this young family is requested.
