Film Showing —Thursday, Jan. 15, 7 p.m. in the Juan Diego CHS auditorium, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. The JDCHS Human Rights International Club Film Festival will feature the documentary The Human Experience, with a running time of 90 minutes. Admission is free.

School Open House — The Madeleine Choir School will host its annual open house/information session on Sunday, Jan. 25, from 12:30 to 3 p.m. No appointment is necessary, just stop by for information and tours of the campus. 2015 Aquinas Lecture — Jesuit Fr. Thomas J. Reese, senior analyst for the National Catholic Reporter, will present this year’s Aquinas Lecture; his topic is “Pope Francis and Reform of the Church.” The lecture will be Sunday, Jan. 25, at 12:30 p.m. at Saint Catherine of Siena/Newman Center, 170 University St. in SLC. The event is free and open to the public.

Meeting for Black Catholic Families — with Andrew and Terri Lyke, founders of the Arusi network, which helps sustain and promote the unique gifts of Black Catholic families. The Lykes are consultors to the Vatican on family issues, have national speaking engagements, and will be presenters at the 2015 Vatican World Meeting of Families.
