Lenten Study — “Entering the Passion” with Dr. Brandon R. Peterson. Thursdays during Lent, 7:30-8:30 p.m. except April 7 in the Archbishop Wester lecture hall at The Madeleine Choir School and simulcast on Zoom. The study will use A.J. Rite of Election/Call to Continuing Conversion — Saturday, March 12, 1:30 p.m. for the Salt Lake Deanery, at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Siamsa — Saturday, March 12, parade begins at 11 a.m.; the siamsa goes to 5 p.m. at the Gateway, 400 West 200 South, SLC. For information, visit www.irishinutah.com.

Founder’s Day Concert — by The Madeline Choir School. Sunday, March 13, 8 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeline, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. Works by Johann Sebastian Bach along with two commissioned works by MCS alumni composers Nicolas Chuaqui and Jessica French. Free and open to the public.

Lenten Parish Mission — March 19-23 at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 1800 S. Orchard Dr., Bountiful. With Fr. John Thomas Lane, SSS. The mission will begin with the homilies at the weekend Mass and continue Monday-Wednesday, 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday will be a Mass with the Anointing of the Sick.

Diocesan Lenten Retreat — Saturday, April 2. The Diocesan Lenten Retreat will be offered remotely with a message from Bishop Oscar A. Solis and talks from retreat masters Father Ray John Marek, OMI, and Friar Cristobal Torres posted on the diocesan website. Followed by small-group discussion. Parishes will schedule the retreat at a time that is convenient for their congregations that day. Contact your parish for information.

Lenten Retreat — Saturday, April 2, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., presented by the Southwestern Deanery of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women., at St. George Catholic Church, 259 West 200 North, St. George. The focus of the retreat, titled “Oremus!,” will be on developing one’s prayer life. Light refreshments will be served.  Suggested donation: $10. Deacon Harold Presentation — Saturday, April 9, 1-4 p.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 2315 E. Redondo Ave., SLC. Sponsored by Catholic Utah. Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers, known as the Dynamic Deacon, will speak on “Meeting Jesus in the Beauty and Truth of the Catholic Faith.”  Cost: $20 in advance/$25 at door. Sign up at CatholicUtah.org.

Good Friday Choral Meditation — “Stabat Mater” by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, performed by The Madeline Choir School. Friday, April 15, 3 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeline, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. Free and open to the public.

Easter Vigil — The Most Reverend Oscar A. Solis, Bishop of Salt Lake City, has determined that the Easter Vigil should not be celebrated before 8:30 p.m., April 16, in the Diocese of Salt Lake City. Bilingual Rosary for Life — the first Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC.

Mass at Alta — The celebration of the Eucharist on Sundays has resumed at Our Lady of the Snows Chapel at Alta ski resort. Mass is at 5 p.m. The chapel is located directly across from the Alta Lodge and below the Alta City offices. Mass will continue throughout the ski season. Mass on Easter will be at 10 a.m.  

Volunteers Needed — The St. Vincent Homeless Center in Salt Lake City is in need of volunteers for multiple shifts. All safety protocols have been put into place. Volunteers Needed — Those wishing to volunteer with Catholic Community Services in the Ogden area may assist in the warehouse, sorting donated food items, tracking inventory, and assembling boxes and bags of food for clients.
