Diaper Drive — The St. George Women’s Group is hosting a Diaper Drive for the Hope Pregnancy Center through Sept. 25. Newborn size diapers are most needed; gift cards, check or cash donations also accepted. For information, contact Bonnie Arndt, 435-674-0231.

Class on Catholic Dogma — Patience Kabamba, an anthropology professor at Utah Valley University, will offer four classes on the role of dogma in the Catholic faith. The one-hour classes are scheduled for 7 p.m. on the following Mondays: Sept. 26, Oct. 24, Nov. 28 and Jan. 23 in the Dominguez Room of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church’s classroom building, 65 East 500 North, Orem. Free and open to the public.

Columbus Day Games — Friday, Sept. 30, 6 p.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Parish social hall, 9757 South 1745 East, Sandy. Mama Mitza’s Lasagna Feast includes salad, main dish, desert and drink. Games begin at 6:30 p.m. Admission: $14/adults, $10/12 and under; family pass, $50.

Family Camp for Scouts —and their families at Camp Tracy in Millcreek Canyon. From noon on Saturday, Oct. 1 to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2. Merit badge work, belt loop work, the International Awareness Medallion and working on Religious Emblems. For information, contact Nancy Reading, nlr@xmission.com.

Steak Fry — Knights of Columbus Council 5502’s annual event will be Saturday, Oct. 1 at St. Olaf Parish, 276 East 1700 South, Bountiful, starting at 7 p.m. Tickets: $25/adult, $5 children’s meal. Tickets available after the weekend Masses beginning Sept. 10. 

Women’s Retreat — Saturday, Oct. 1 at St. James Parish, 1st North 100 West,Vernal, 8:30 a.m. check-in. The day of inspiration, worship and activities, titled “Laugh, Love, Live the Faith,” will be led by Maria Devereux and Jeanne Lachowski. Spiritual Development — A Retreat with Pope Francis: six 25-minute DVD conferences and discussion with Rev. Anthony Ciorra, Ph.D. at the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish rectory, 670 South 1100 East, SLC. The retreat will take place between the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday Masses from Oct. 2 to Nov. 6.

Catholics CAN Mass — Sheila Landry will be presented with the 2016 Catholic CAN Award during the 11 a.m. Mass on Sunday, Oct. 2, at St. Marguerite Catholic Church, 510 E. Vine St., Tooele. All are welcome. The award is sponsored by the Diocese of Salt Lake City’s Commission for People with Disabilities.
 
Stewardship Seminar — Tuesday, Oct. 4, 6-8:30 p.m. at St Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 E. Creek Road, Sandy. The speaker is Fr. Darrin Gurr of St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish in Winnepeg, Manitoba. For stewardship/DDD workers in the diocese, but all are welcome.

Free Concert — The Saint Ann’s Bell Choir will perform a free concert on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 7 p.m. at the church, 450 East 2100 South, SLC.  Light refreshments will be served.

Leadership Workshop  —  Saturday, Oct. 8, 12:30-3:30 p.m. in St. George Parish’s Kuzy Hall, 259 West 200  North, St. George. Speakers will be Annie Smith, DCCW membership and resource team co-chairperson, and Tami Bernstein, MAPS, ecclesial minister. All women invited. Eccles Organ Festival —Sunday Oct. 9, 8 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple. Organ recital with Jens Korndörfer of the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, Ga. Free and open to the public.  
 
Teen Suicide Presentation — Wednesday, Oct. 21, 7-8 p.m. in St. John the Baptist Parish’s Conference Room A. Hosted by the parish youth group, which welcomes participation from any youth groups in the area. Facilitators will be Deacon Paul Graham, youth minister, and Joel Anderson, suicide prevention program coordinator for the Utah National Guard.

Fashion Show Luncheon — The annual Catholic Woman’s League event will be Saturday, Oct. 22 at Little America Hotel, 500 S. Main, SLC.
