9 Days for Life — The U.S. bishops annual novena takes place Saturday, Jan. 16 to Sunday, Jan. 24. Pray for the respect and protection of all human life with new intentions, brief reflections, and more each day. Living Rosary for Life — St. Mary Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven, will host its annual multi-language “Living Rosary for Life” on Friday, Jan. 22 at 5:30 p.m. Fifty people are needed to complete the living rosary. To register, call 801-898-3821.

Women’s Day of Reflection — Edwina Gateley, the 2016 Aquinas lecturer, will lead a Women’s Day of Reflection on Saturday, Jan. 23, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Episcopal Church Center, 75 South 200 East. Spaghetti Dinner — Knight of Columbus Council 10304 at St. Martin de Porres Parish, 4914 South 2200 West, Taylorsville, will sponsor the annual spaghetti fundraiser Saturday, Jan. 23. Rosary for Life — Sunday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 275 U St., SLC. Free. All are welcome.

Aquinas Lecture — Sunday, Jan. 24, 12:30 p.m.. St. Catherine of Siena Newman Center, 170 University St., SLC. This year’s lecturer is Edwina Gateley: poet, theologian, artist, writer, lay minister and single mother. She will  speak about her experiences serving others and how God may be calling each person to serve. Free and open to the public.

Judge Memorial Mini-Cheer Clinic — JMCHS’ award-winning cheer squad will hold a mini-cheer clinic for area girls and boys in grades six through eight. Participants will have two clinic days, Jan. 25 and Jan. 28, and will then sit in the “Spirit Section” for the Friday, Jan. 29, varsity boys’ basketball game, help the cheerleaders lead cheers, and perform at halftime. Placement Exam — Judge Memorial CHS will hold the annual placement exam for incoming ninth-graders for the 2016-2017 school year on Friday, Jan. 29. Check in is at 3 p.m. in Classroom 215. Pre-registration by Jan. 27. The exam is approximately one hour. Students wishing to be considered for enrollment in an honors level world language class in French, Latin or Spanish will sit for an exam from approximately 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. For more information, call 801-517-2129 or visit judgememorial.com. 

Men’s Retreat — of contemplation and spiritual reflection will be held at Abbey of Our Lady of the Holy Trinity in Huntsville Jan. 29–31. Fr. Judge Memorial presents “Grease” —  The JMCHS Performing Arts Department will present the winter musical production at 7 p.m. Jan. 29-30 and Feb 5-6, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Jan. 31. Tickets, which are $5 for students and senior citizens, $10 for general public, may be purchased at the school’s ticket office approximately 40 minutes before show time. All are invited. Seasonal Mass at Alta — Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Snows Chapel, across from Alta Lodge, at 5 p.m. each Sunday until the end of April. Mass on Easter Sunday will be at 10 a.m.

Healing Mass — Every third Saturday of the month at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, 3560 West 3650 South, West Valley City. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 8 a.m.
