SALT LAKE CITY — Augustine Trujillo, 72, passed away Oct. 18, 2012, from liver cancer. Trujillo was born May 5, 1940 in Swink, Colo. to Roque Trujillo and Monclovia Chavez. He served as executive director of The Center for Ethnic Student Affairs at the University of Utah; he also worked as an academic and career advisor at Salt Lake Community College. A Vietnam-era veteran, he served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965. He was married to Martha Trujillo for 43 years. Trujillo is survived by wife Martha; three children: Chris, Melissa and Clarissa; sisters Rose, Theresa and Carol; brothers Roque, Herman, Ernie, David and Jesus; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Trujillo was preceded in death by son Brian Anthony; grandson Gabriel and brothers Joe, Michael and Frank. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Ann Catholic Church.
