Bishop Solis invites the faithful to attend Eucharistic Rally and Mass + Enlarge
By The Most Rev. Oscar A. Solis
Bishop of Salt Lake City

Greetings of Christ’s peace and love!
During the Easter season, we celebrate the resurrection of Christ our Lord, the foundation of Christian hope and joy. We remember how our God is with us always, full of love and power, through the Holy Spirit, who is alive in the Church.
The most important way that God is with us is through the Holy Eucharist, the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, our Savior. The Eucharist is the greatest gift God has given to us. It unites us with the Church, with each other, with the communion of saints in heaven, and with Christ himself.
The Catholic bishops of the United States are calling for a three-year grassroots revival of devotion and belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, inviting us to be sent out in mission “for the life of the world.” Over the next three years, every Catholic diocese, parish, school, apostolate and family is invited to be a part of renewing the Church by enkindling a living relationship with Jesus Christ in the holy Eucharist.
I am inviting all Catholics in the state of Utah to gather and celebrate the Diocesan Eucharistic Rally and Mass on Sunday, July 9 at the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy. The rally will run from 9 a.m. to noon, offering educational presentations and family and youth activities. There will be a break for lunch, followed by holy Mass, to be celebrated at 2 p.m. You can attend the entire day, or come for Mass. There is no charge for the event.
Information about the rally can be found at https://www.dioslc.org/eucharistic-revival and will also be shared with the parishes throughout the upcoming months.
Through this wonderful celebration our sisters and brothers in Utah will see that our love and devotion for the Eucharist empowers us and motivates us to come together to adore Christ and worship him in the Most Blessed Sacrament. It is my hope that all Catholics in the state will come together to celebrate the Eucharist and what it means to be a Eucharistic people.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Thank you and may God bless.
