Clyde Kramer

SALT LAKE CITY — Clyde Kramer, 63, passed away Aug. 31, 2012 of congestive heart failure.

Kramer was born Nov. 19, 1948 in Salt Lake City to Earl and Carmella Romolo Kramer. He earned his Eagle Scout badge in 1960 and received the Ad Altare Dei medal, the highest award the Catholic Church bestows on a scout. In 1967 Kramer started his service with the U.S. Marine Corps, deploying to Vietnam with the Bravo 1st Tank Battalion 7th Marines in Da Nang. He received the Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Combat Valor medal, National Defense Service medal, Good Conduct medal, and the Cross of Gallantry with Palm Leaf the Presidential Unit Citation Good Conduct medal.

Kramer is survived by his son, Matthew (Natasha) Kramer; three grand-daughters; sister Linda (Paul) Sorich; brother Gerald (Roberta) Kramer; sister-in-law Penny Kramer; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and his former wife, Jolene Kramer.

Kramer was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, brother Lawrence Kramer; nephew, Jason Lawrence Kramer and aunts and uncles.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Magna.
