Saint Patrick Parish’s Tongan Lataki (youth) group held its inaugural Trunk or Treat on Oct. 30 in the parish parking lot. The Tongan Lataki president, Malo’i Vaisima, suggested the event as a way to bring everyone together to celebrate and give back to the community. More than 50 children participated in the event. The Tongan Lataki group is working to not only to grow in faith and help the community but also to prepare and raise funds for the Vahe ‘Uta Lataki Seminar (Tongan Youth Seminar) that will be held in Salt Lake City next year.
