Diocesan Stewardship Council Meeting

Our Diocesan Stewardship Council is meeting regularly to prepare for the implementation of the Stewardship Program in our diocese. The Council itself is taking time to reflect on the principles of stewardship and on those scriptural passages that pertain to the teaching of Jesus in light of stewardship. The Council also evaluates and makes recommendations on the stewardship materials that will be presented in our parishes and schools and other Catholic organizations throughout the diocese. I am impressed by the fact that the Stewardship Council, led by Mr. Mark Longe, is leading by example. They are giving freely of their time and talent in order to assure the success of our diocesan stewardship program. I thank them for all that they have been doing and will do in order to promote this important way of life in our local church. I also thank Mrs. Shannon Lee and her capable staff for their splendid work on our behalf.
