Eleanor M. Hebert, 96, of Salt Lake City, died December 10, 2020. She was born in Petatlan, Mexico to Bernard and Maria Dimas Mecino McDonnell.

Eleanor married Joseph Morel Hebert on August 30, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas after being introduced to him by her brother, Ed. Joseph died November 29, 2008.  

She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a devout member of Saint Ambrose Parish for nearly 40 years and was a member of the Catholic Woman’s League. She was active in the senior fitness program Silver Sneakers.

She is survived by her son Joseph (Kathleen) Hebert, Jr.; and five grandchildren: Cory Christensen, Ryan (Ayana) Hebert, Erin Hebert, Kelly Hebert and Damian Sandall. She was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Marie Canton; grandson Brandon Minear; and three brothers Edward, Henry and Bernard McDonnell.

A funeral Mass was celebrated December 19 at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church.   Committal, Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
