January 7, 1940 ~ February 3, 2024

Our sweet loving Momma, Elizabeth Ann (Columbus) Trotman, left this earth at the age of 84 on February 3, 2024. She was born January 7, 1940, in Kenilworth, Utah to Ralph and Emma Columbus. She married the love of her life, Bob Trotman, on May 9, 1964, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Salt Lake City. They had four beautiful babies, one of whom passed away at birth.

She graduated from the University of Utah in education and became a beloved kindergarten teacher at Bishop Glass School. Soon after she chose to stay at home with her children and became the World’s Best Mom to all who came through her door. She later returned to work and became everyone’s favorite lunch lady at West High School until she retired in 1994. At this time, she became the World’s Best Grandma to all children.

Mom loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved cooking Italian family dishes to share with anyone who stopped by. She enjoyed partying, playing games and making scrapbooks to give to her family. She enjoyed life and had the most friendly and contagious smile, always laughing. She had an endless amount of love to give.

Mom is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Emma; her husband Bob (2002); daughter Vickie; sister Rosemarie; brother Ralph Jr.; niece Desiree; nephew David; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her children, Robert (Amie), Susie and Mary (Daney); grandsons Josh, Joey, Zach, Matthew, Max, Dominic, Jaxson and Eli; granddaughter Nicole (Brody); great-grandchildren Alivia and Krew; and many lifelong friends (including childhood friends whom she enjoyed and loved dearly).

A funeral Mass was celebrated on February 8, 2024 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Salt Lake City; interment was at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
