Ogden-area restaurants and businesses lent food and a hand to help the hungry and homeless by contributing to the Empty Bowls fundraiser at Union Station on May 17. The fundraiser benefited the Lantern House/St. Anne’s Center, a homeless shelter and soup kitchen under construction at 33rd Street and Pacific Avenue in Ogden. The new facility will take the place of the existing St. Anne’s Center and be able to serve more people. The capital campaign for the Lantern House has raised $6 million of the necessary $7 million; donations may be made by calling 801-621-5036 or online at www.StAnnesCenter.org.
