Catholic Community Services of Utah and Clay Arts, Utah teamed up on May 2 to combat hunger in the community by selling locally made handcrafted bowls at St. Vincent de Paul Dining Hall. CCS reached their goal of $10,000 to support the 1,200 meals a day the soup kitchen produces. “The Empty Bowls event will help us raise awareness of those who come to the St. Vincent de Paul Dining Hall every day,” said Dennis Kelsch, director of Basic Needs Services for CCS.
