Our mom passed away at her home on Jan. 16, 2017, surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 17, 1922 in Seattle, Wash. She married Lee Evans on Sept. 12, 1936. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 25 years as a clerk and in the philatelic window. Her job allowed her to meet people with whom she loved to talk and visit. Harriet was a people person and treated everyone in the world like her best friend, wanting to know everything about them. 

She is survived by her children, Jeanette Dallin, Terry (Kathy) Evans and Pam Stark; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her best feline friend, Shadow Baby Kitty.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years; and her son-in-law, Tim Stark.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 20 at St. Ann Catholic Church.
