“Hearing the Passion of Christ inclines us to focus on the evil and brutality of humanity, but Good Friday is more about the fidelity of God’s infinite love for us and his divine mercy for sinners,” Bishop Oscar A. Solis said during the Celebration of the Lord’s Passion. “God has given us more than we could possibly hope for or imagine. He will never abandon us. He gives us everything, even offering his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to die in atonement for our sins.”
