Honoring Msgr. Moore + Enlarge

Msgr. Terence Moore (second from left) was honored with two standing ovations and presented with a plaque from the St. Thomas More Fun Bunch during a June 5 Mass. Msgr. Moore was pastor of the parish from 1985-1999. “Msgr. Moore is a disciple among us,” said Fr. John Evans, pastor (far left). “You are an inspiration to us, and we want to thank you.” Msgr. Moore was also given a shadow box with symbols of his priestly ministry, his childhood and the two holes in one he has achieved in his 15-year golf career. One of those he hit this year. “I am greatly humbled and honored,” Msgr. Moore said in response. “I’ve learned to choose good people and then just stay out of their way.” During his comments, he also recalled that, while designing the church, they wanted to capitalize on the view of the Wasatch Range and chose as their theme verses from Psalm 121: “I raise my eyes toward the mountain. From where will my help come?”
