The Intermountain Catholic claimed six awards in the Utah Press Association's 2016 Better Newspaper Contest; the awards banquet was held April 29. In the weekly newspaper Class 3, the Intermountain Catholic took first place for Best Circulation Promotion, second place for Best Front Page; second place for Best News Photo; second place for Best Feature Story, second place for Best Editor's/Feature's Column and third place for Best Editorial.
