Judith J. Belew

Friday, Nov. 25, 2016

As the last leaf fell and the first snow arrived in the Salt Lake Valley, Judith J. Belew (Judi), 78, passed away. She was born and raised in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur Wolfgram and Ruth McCauley Wolfgram. She spent many years in Bristol, Tenn. as the CFO of CaMac Corp. In 2002, she moved west to join her only son, Jason West, to become Gaboo (Grandmother Belew).
Once coming to the Salt Lake Valley, she joined the Catholic Church at St. Catherine of Siena Newman Center and soon after joined the staff, where she worked for more than 10 years. During her tenure there she became a loyal friend to many. She called those who were closest to her, “My Peeps.” You know who you are!
The family would like to thank Brookdale Senior Living, Brighton Home Health & Hospice, especially Debi and Kaitlyn, and the Caring Ministry of St. Catherine’s.
Judi is survived by her son, Jason West; loving mother of Judi’s grandchildren, Angela West; her grandchildren Joshua and Anna. She was preceded in death by parents Arthur and Ruth, Norm Belew, and Jack West.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Nov. 21 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Newman Center.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Judi’s name may be made to Brighton Home Health & Hospice (1106 East 6600 South Ste 100 Murray, UT 84121) or the University of Utah women’s gymnastics.
