WEST JORDAN — Kayla Marie Burns, 21, passed away Aug. 13, 2012 after a seven-year long battle with kidney disease.

Burns, was born in Sandy on April 12, 1991 to Michael Lynn and Gaylene Christensen Burns. She attended Saint Vincent de Paul and Saint John the Baptist schools before she became ill.

Burns is survived by her parents, brother Michael Jr.; three sisters: Sara, Jessica and Angel; grandparents, Jerry and Norma Christensen, many aunts and uncles and countless cousins.

Burns was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ken and Beth Burns; uncle Kenny and cousin Megan Foote.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.
