SALT LAKE CITY — While most 9- and 10-year-olds were focused on costumes, candy and parties for Halloween, the 4th- and 5th-graders at Kearns-Saint Ann School had other activities on their agendas. The good witches and wonderful wizards of Kearns-Saint Ann School grabbed their brooms and worked their magic cleaning up the playground, sidewalks and yards around their school and Saint Ann Church.

Wearing gloves and celebrating "Wacky Hair Day," they began to dissect each area of their environment and filled their many bags with leaves and litter.

These 4th- and 5th-graders provided visual treats of a cleaned up community as they worked their magic tricks.
