Lenore Chaffin Uram Clifford passed away peacefully Nov. 22, 2017. She was born Oct. 20, 1933 to Benjamin F. and Alliebelle Linton Chaffin. She married John Uram (deceased) in 1950; they later divorced. She later married Gordon Lyle Clifford on Jan. 1, 1959. They spent 47 wonderful years together before he passed.

Lenore graduated from Colton Union High School in California, Stevens-Henager Business College in Ogden, and St. Benedict’s Nurse’s Aide Program in Ogden. She worked at the Hill Air Force Base Exchange, St. Benedict’s Hospital and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., Holy Cross Hospital and Ogden Regional Medical Center. She has also lived in Rock Springs, Wyo.; Newark, N.J.; Harrisburg, Pa. and Japan before moving to Ogden.

Lenore was a faithful member of the Catholic Church, most recently as a member of St. James the Just Parish. She was also a member of the American Legion. Her hobbies included snowshoeing, motorcycle riding, reading books, and country and classical music, with a special interest in symphonies. Most of all, she enjoyed her time with her grandchildren.

Lenore is survived by her sons, M. Richard (Nancy) Clifford of North Carolina and Gordon Lyle (Shelly) Clifford Jr. of North Ogden; grandchildren Richard D. (Joanna) Clifford of Switzerland, Brandon B. (Johanna) Clifford of Massachusetts, and Gordon Lyle Clifford III, Jennifer Uram (Jason) Hale, Andrea Uram (Kip) Kitto all of Ogden, Christopher Alan Clifford, Nicholas Scott Clifford, Stephanie Clifford all of North Ogden; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and two nieces, Sharon Miller and Rhonda Call.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son Andrew J. Uram, two brothers, two sisters, one nephew and one niece.

She will be missed by her beloved cats.

A graveside service was held Nov. 27 at the Ben Lomond Cemetery.
