Local Equestrian Order to Host National Meeting

On Feb. 10, Bishop Oscar A. Solis celebrated Mass in the Cathedral of the Madeleine for the mid-year meeting of the Salt Lake Area Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.

On Feb. 10, Bishop Oscar A. Solis celebrated Mass in the Cathedral of the Madeleine for the mid-year meeting of the Salt Lake Area Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. Fr. Martin Diaz, the cathedral rector, concelebrated. During the meeting, the EOHSJ’s Lieutenant, Margaret Romano, gave updates on the status of the support being given to the parishes in the Holy Land that are impacted by political unrest. The members also spent time planning for the annual meeting of the entire Western Lieutenancy, which will be held in Salt Lake City this fall. The EOHSJ provides spiritual and financial support to Christians and Christian entities providing humanitarian services in the Holy Land; the organization’s members also are given opportunities for spiritual growth.
