Mass planned to celebrate for the Year of Consecrated Life

The Most Rev. John C. Wester, Bishop of Salt Lake City, will celebrate the diocesan Opening Mass for the Year of Consecrated Life on Sunday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine. 

Pope Francis proclaimed 2015 a Year of Consecrated Life, starting on the First Sunday of Advent and ending on Feb. 2, 2016. The year also marks the 50th anniversary of Perfectae Caritatis, a decree on religious life, and Lumen Gentium, the Second Vatican Council’s constitution on the Church. 

All are invited to attend the Feb. 8 Mass.
