Matthew Eccles Wallace died Aug. 29, 2015.
Wallace was born on July 16, 1982 to Michelle (Shelley) Montmorency and Robert B. Wallace (his best friend). He  attended Bonneville Elementary, J.E. Cosgriff Memorial, Judge Memorial Catholic High School, the University of Utah and was currently attending Salt Lake Community College.
He had a heart of gold; he loved his family first and his friends followed close behind. He always wanted everyone to be happy and would help them in doing so. He had a great love for animals, especially the family dog, Rosie, and the three kitties.
Wallace played the guitar from a young age and had a great love of music. He read constantly and was always learning new things. He had a great sense of humor and would always make his mom smile with his little jokes.
He spent some time in Germany, and through Judge Memorial he became fluent in German and was an exchange student, which was one of his greatest adventures. He loved Germany and always wanted to return. Wallace recently learned to read and write Arabic and found an interest in Islam.
Wallace is survived by his mother and father, brother Christopher A. Wallace, sister Lara M. Wallace, step-brothers Andrew and Nicholas Aloia, grandmother Carole E. Montmorency, and many uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by Uncle John F. Montmorency, grandparents, and step-father Patrick H. Aloia.
A Memorial Mass was celebrated at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Donations to The Humane Society of Utah or a charity of your choice may be made in Wallace’s name.
