Michael James Bruce

Michael James Bruce, loving husband, son, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend, passed away at home on December 17, 2017, with his loving wife and family by his side.

Michael was born August 27, 1941 in San Diego, Calif. to Ortise Detroit (OD) and Wanza Hardin Bruce. He married Cliseria Lobato on August 27, 1966 in Dragerton, Utah at Good Shepherd Catholic Church; they recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. He was also a member of St. Frances of Assisi Parish.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, where he served in Munich, Germany. He worked for Provo City for 30 years. Michael and Cliseria enjoyed many vacations. He enjoyed staining furniture and painting woods. He loved being with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Cliseria; his aunt and uncle; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral Mass was celebrated December 21, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Burial with military honors was at Provo City Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.bergmortuary.com.
