Michael Joseph Lemieux died on January 31, 2024, at the age of 86 at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful. Michael was born in Deer Lodge, Montana, and was raised in Missoula, Montana, the only son of Margaret and Wilfred Lemieux.

He graduated from Gonzaga Preparatory School in 1955, transferring to Seattle University, where he graduated with a degree in insurance. He married his college sweetheart, Shirley Anderson Lemieux, in July 1959 at Saint Peter Catholic Church in Anaconda, Montana. He moved to Utah in 1961 and spent his entire career in the state, residing in Bountiful.

Michael was a wonderful husband and father to his family. He was a good friend. He will be missed by all.

He was an active member of Saint Olaf Parish in Bountiful until his passing. He was a dedicated supporter of the Church his entire life. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5502 in Bountiful, holding all offices in the council as well as being District Deputy of Utah. He was named Knight of the Year for the state council 1973-1974.

He is survived by his sons Paul (C. Kim), John (Leslie), and daughters Michele and Deborah. He is also survived by his grandchildren Peter (Gaia), Matthew (Jessica), Stephen (Destiny), Monique (Josh) and Mackenzie, as well as great-grandchildren Kimberly Rose and Henry.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 12 at 10 a.m. at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 276 East 1700 South, Bountiful. Michael will be cremated and interred at Mt. Cavalry Catholic Cemetery in Salt Lake City next to his wife Shirley.
