Smart Goal! Maddie Cartwright, Judge Memorial Catholic High School Class of ’09, was named to the All-District Academic team in soccer for the second straight year at the University of Redlands.

Victory! Danielle Gaztambide, Judge Memorial CHS Class of ’12, was part of a WAC championship in her first year on the Utah State University women’s soccer team.

Elected! The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops officers elected Nov. 12 were: Bishop Kevin J. Farrell of Dallas, treasurer-elect/chairman-elect of the Committee on Budget and Finance; Bishop Michael F. Burbidge of Raleigh, N.C., chairman-elect of the Committee on Clergy, Consecrated Life and Vocations; Cardinal Daniel N. DiNardo of Galveston-Houston, chairman-elect of the Committee on Divine Worship; Archbishop Thomas G. Wenski of Miami, chairman-elect of the Committee on Domestic Justice and Human Development; Bishop Richard J. Malone of Buffalo, N.Y., chairman-elect of the Committee on Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth; Bishop Eusebia L.
