SALT LAKE CITY — Patrick "Paddy" H. Aloia, 61, passed away April 9, 2014, of a pulmonary embolism. Aloia was born July 2, 1952 to Henry and Mary Ann Aloia. He attended St. Ann’s, Judge Memorial Catholic High School, University of Utah and Westminster College. He was an official in the Big Sky football conference, a recorder for the Pac 12 and he also worked for Verizon Wireless. He married Michelle Montmorency on Aug. 2, 1997 at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church. Aloia was survived by wife Shelley; sons Andy and Nicholas; stepchildren; sister Maggie; brothers Michael and Sam; a niece and many nephews. Aloia was preceded in death by his parents and sister Katie. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
