Retirement Events for Monsignor Daz and Monsignor Bonnell

Quite a few parishioners turned out to honor Monsignor Daz and Monsignor Bonnell this past Sunday. At the 11:15 a.m. Mass at St. Olaf Catholic Church, Msgr. Daz was honored, followed by a wonderful reception complete with entertainment and speeches. At St. Rose of Lima Parish later that afternoon, hundreds of parishioners turned out for a splendid ceremony honoring Msgr. Bonnell with speeches, music and testimonials. Both occasions were filled with love, gratitude and a touch of nostalgia and these two exemplary pastors bade farewell to the people they have served so well throughout their priestly lives. We wish them both well, asking our loving Lord to give them continued good health and the abiding joy that comes from serving the Lord so faithfully all these years.
