Sister Ruth Barbara Holtshouser, CSC celebrates Golden Jubilee

Holy Cross Sister Ruth Barbara Holtshouser  celebrated the 50th year of her religious profession on Sept. 3 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Salt Lake City. The celebration began with the parish Mass at 5:30 p.m., during which Sr. Ruth Barbara renewed her religious vows. The Mass was followed by a dinner with family and friends in the parish social hall. Sister Ruth Barbara entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross from Salt Lake City, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in 1963, and professed her vows in 1966. Sr. Ruth Barbara is shown with her mother, Florence Holtshouser, a long-time parishioner who worked at Judge Memorial Catholic High School for about 50 years.
