Ivan Díaz, a bilingual high school music teacher who composes for Oregon Catholic Press, gave two presentations at Saint Mary Catholic Church in West Haven on Jan. 24-25. He spoke about the basic tenets of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ document “Sing to the Lord,” and sang a few of his compositions. In addition, he told of the life events that inspired his songs.
