Two-day healing retreat in Spanish will welcome all

SALT LAKE CITY — A two-day healing encounter in Spanish will take place Friday and Saturday, Dec. 14-15, at Saint Ann Parish.

The encounter will have Dr. Antonio Ramirez de Leon, PhD, from the Congar Institute; Fr. Alexandre Paciolli, from Brazil; Fr. Javier Virgen, pastor of Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Parish in West Jordan; and Fr. Omar Ontiveros, pastor of Saint Ann Parish.

Dr. Ramirez is an adjunct professor of religious studies at Incarnate Word University and the Mexican-American Catholic College. He also is the pastoral associate at St. Luke Parish in San Antonio, Texas. He has more than 25 years of experience conducting workshops, seminars, conferences and retreats in the United States, Mexico, Central America and Argentina. He also has 25 years of experience in parish ministry.

Fr. Paciolli is a priest from the Archdiocese of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is part of El sembrador ministries, an association comprised of laity and religious who, according to their mission statement, ensure spaces for an encounter with God.

The encounter is open to all and it will offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Holy Hour, reflections and healing.

Simultaneously there will be a children’s retreat.

“The warm healing of the Holy Spirit will fill St. Ann Parish,” said Fr. Paciolli in an invitation to all to attend the encounter.

WHAT: Healing Encounter ‘Come Lord and save us’

WHEN: Friday, Dec. 14, 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 15, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

WHERE: Saint Ann  Parish, 2100 South 500 East, Salt Lake City
