Volunteers sought for prison ministry

Are you called to work with prison inmates? Volunteers are needed to continue programs at Utah jails and prisons. 

An assistant teacher is needed at the Wasatch facility on Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m. Call 801-420-8762.

A teacher is needed at the Lone Peak transitional facility on Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m.; this person must be an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. A pyx will be provided. Call 385-242-0365.

An Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion also is being sought to fill in for the chaplain at different facilities as needed. Call 385-242-0365.

Volunteers are needed to show inspirational Catholic movies on movie nights at different facilities. Call 385-242-0365.

Volunteers must undergo training, be good role models and be faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church in all areas of faith and morals.
