Shower Them with Love — Bank of Utah is hosting its third annual Shower Them with Love donation drive now through July 17; Catholic Community Services of Northern Utah’s St. Martha’s Baby Project is one of the recipients. Take donations to any Bank of Utah location. Items most requested include new newborn-sized clothing, sleepers and onesies, newborn diapers, bibs and burp cloths, formula, baby lotion, powder and wipes.

Recently, I had a conversation with a woman who had not been to Confession for 10 years because the last time she went the priest bawled her out. I assured her that the vast majority of priests do not act like that, and I advised her to muster enough courage to go to the sacrament again.
