Homicidio de niņa conmueve a la comunidad

Maria del Carmen Menchaca, o Mari, como le llamaban sus familiares y amigos, murió el domingo 6 de julio, víctima de un tiroteo por parte de unos supuestos pandilleros. En ese día, Mari y sus papás se encontraban en la fiesta de unos vecinos, pero ella decidió regresar a casa para buscar a su hermano mayor. Mientras estaba en la acera, cuatro jóvenes se acercaron en una camioneta negra y uno de ellos disparó la bala que terminaría con la vida de la niña de 7 años.

HEBER CITY — Tears of joy were shed as Saint Lawrence mission members Winnie Sutera and Maria Herrera, the Most Rev. Bishop Wester of the Diocese of Salt Lake City, and Msgr. Robert Bussen, pastor of Saint Lawrence Mission took the first ride in the new elevator. Msgr. Bussen is also pastor of Saint Mary of the Assumption Parish in Park City.
