SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Foster Care Foundation, in a forum Jan. 15 at Juan Diego Catholic High School, reported that at any given time, there are about 2,600 children in foster care in the state. Nearly half of these children are from the Salt Lake Valley area, and growing numbers of these children are of Hispanic/Latino descent.

SALT LAKE CITY – En un foro organizado el 15 de enero en la escuela preparatoria Juan Diego Catholic High School, la fundación Utah Foster Care Foundation (en Español: Fundación Tutelar de Utah) reportó que en un momento dado hay alrededor de 2,600 niños bajo cuidado tutelar en el estado. At 49, most of his career in education has been spent in Florida, where he taught in a high school, instructed special education students, and served as dean of students in a public high school.
