Saint Joseph Catholic High School, Juan Diego Catholic High School, and Judge Memorial Catholic High School win State Championship tennis titles

DRAPER/SALT LAKE CITY/OGDEN — Juan Diego Catholic High School girls had 16 wins and no losses for the 2007 season to win the Region 8 Championship as well as the 2007 State 3A Championship Title when school began last fall. The schools are beginning their 2008 tennis season.

SALT LAKE CITY/OGDEN — The Judge Memorial Catholic High School girls’ track team won their sixth 3A State Championship Title in seven years at Brigham Young University May 16-17. At the same time, Saint Joseph Catholic High School girls’ dominated the 1A track and field events to win a State Championship Title.

OREM — The Saint Francis Assisi church was more than 80 years old of a Spanish-mission architecture that made it a historic treasure for Provo. "It had the statue (of Saint Francis) in the corner, a staircase in the entrance, and a pretty tower," said Soledad Tachiquin. What now prevails instead of the church is a ‘for sale’ sign.

SALT LAKE CITY — Rick Gallegos is a hero. He alerted a grandmother and her three grandchildren their house was on fire and proceeded to get them to safety. Gallegos is a member of Saint Patrick Parish.
