Es la esta época del año, la cual llama al Adviento en la Iglesia Católica, pero en el mundo secular es conocida como la temporada de compras Navideña, en donde los Cristianos experimentan una profunda tensión. La Iglesia nos urge a prepararnos para la llegada de Cristo intensificando la oración y la donación a los demás. El mundo secular proclama “Compre hasta que ya no pueda”. No me impresiona el saber que nuestros corazones entran en conflicto durante esta temporada de amor y buena voluntad. >>>

St. Rose Parish celebrates the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe

LAYTON — Prayer, praise and the sound of drums echoed through the night as St. Rose of Lima parishioners celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe Dec. 11. The vigil celebration began with a rosary in Spanish and English, and included Aztec dancers, Mass, mariachis and las mañanitas in a melding of Catholic teaching, tradition and Mexican culture.  >>>
