St. Paul Center celebrates five years

HURRICANE – In 2003 a group of about 20 Catholics in southern Utah rented a small space to be able to celebrate a Eucharistic service. Years later, with the help and support of the Catholic Extension Society and fundraising efforts from the community,  that rented space transformed into approximately 3,100 square feet of what is known as Saint Paul Catholic Center in Hurricane. The center was dedicated on May 20, 2009; the St. Paul community will celebrate its five-year anniversary on June 22 after the 12:30 p.m. Mass. >>>

SALT LAKE CITY — Each year students at Saint Vincent de Paul School participate in Book Bingo throughout the school year. Students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades are challenged to complete a “black out” on their book bingo cards by reading eight different genre books throughout the year. At the end of the year, Giselle Airriess, the school librarian, rewards those students who have completed one or more cards. >>>
