>>>SALT LAKE CITY — As part of Salt Lake County Operations for National Public Works week in May, Saint Vincent de Paul students participated in a snowplow painting contest. The county dropped off the snowplow blade in front of the school on a Monday. Students then had two weeks to come up with a design, paint it and submit their entry.

>>>Julia Colosimo of Juan Diego Catholic High School and Gabrielle Regenhardt of Judge Memorial Catholic High School were among the 35 recipients of the 2012 Leaders and Achievers Scholarships from the Comcast Foundation. The scholarships were presented May 16 at the Utah State Capitol Rotunda. Ten of the students also were given netbook computers for college.
