SALT LAKE CITY — Ida Stonda Brunatti celebrated her 100th birthday March 18 with family, and the next day at a party at Saint Ann Parish, where she has been a member since 1943.

>>>SALT LAKE CITY — Two nuns from the Carmel of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Monastery in Holladay, Reverend Mother Maureen and Sister Therese, spoke to Judge Memorial Catholic High School students on April 28 about their daily life and religious vocations. They walked into the school in their simple black and brown clothing, smiling ear to ear, eager to talk to students. A smile, the students quickly learned, is the same in every language and every religion.

Reality Town is an educational business program that was developed to teach students about budgeting, debt, fiscal responsibility and the importance of education. Reality Town was created by Jane Parker, a middle school business teacher. Since 1997, more than 100,000 students have participated in the R.E.A.L. curriculum.

>>>OGDEN — Alice A. Sawaya, 89, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on March 22, 2011. She was born to John and Sarah Attey in Salt Lake City on Aug. 2, 1921. She married Toffie George Sawaya on June 9, 1951 at the Cathedral of the Madeline in Salt Lake City. Shortly afterward, they moved to Ogden, where they raised their family.
>>>OGDEN — Paralee McKay Junk, 95, passed away March 15, 2011. She was born on Oct. 12, 1915, the sixth of seven children, to William Hugh McKay and Beulah Profitt McKay, on an 800-acre farm in Locust Bayou, Ark. Her mother died when she was 12 and her father died three years later. She lived with her brother and his wife until she graduated high school as class valedictorian. She married Robert Junk in 1940 in Washington D.C. She was a member of St. James Parish and was a past president of the Reserve Officers Wives Club.
