Foster child awaits the love and support of a family

DRAPER — There is a pressing need for families who are willing to adopt children from Utah’s foster care system. Each year approximately 300 children in foster care in Utah are adopted and most are adopted by their foster parents, which is about 85 percent.

Catholic Radio station will launch in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY — Immaculate Heart Radio announced May 7, that it has signed a contract to purchase 50,000 watt KPCW AM 1010 from Community Wireless of Park City, Inc. The station is licensed to Tooele, but the towers are located closer to Salt Lake city and the signal reaches most of the population of Utah from that location.

Youth are invited to an Interfaith Service Project

SALT LAKE CITY — Hundreds of youth from across the Salt Lake valley will participate in an Interfaith Service Project on Thursday, June 11, from 3p.m. to 8pm. Youth representing the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City, the Greek Orthodox, Jewish, Islamic, Hindu, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and other religions will launch the day’s events with a brief interfaith devotional at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 East South Temple, Salt Lake City.
