Girls track team repeats championship

OGDEN — Despite a lot of unfortunate injuries the girls on the Saint Joseph Catholic High School track team stuck with it and won their second straight State Championship title May 16, at Brigham Young University.

BOUNTIFUL — Girl Scout Troop 108 from Bountiful who meet at Saint Olaf School earned their Bronze Award by doing a community project and donating their time and talents to animals. They put in service hours at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab.

DRAPER — The 2008-2009 school year marked the most successful year for the Juan Diego Catholic High School bands and percussion groups. The program continued to grow under the direction of David Faires with the addition of Nathan Watson who taught all of the percussion groups and classes.

OGDEN — "We performed the musical ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ for two weeks in April," said Alfonso Tenrerio, Saint Joseph Catholic High School music director. "This is the first year the band was incorporated with the drama department. It went so well we had people asking us if we could extend it another week. It was wonderful.
