Después de haber completado el Programa para Ministros Eclesiales Laicos  en el 2014, recibí la oportunidad de servir en cuidados pastorales en un hospital local. Me acababa de retirar después de 20 años como proveedor de servicios médicos y bombero de medio tiempo, así es que después de mucha oración sentí que el cuidado pastoral era una progresión natural para mí; después de todo, el hospital me resultaba familia, habiendo tenido la experiencia en traumas, emergencias y muertes cercanas. The Catholic Woman’s League presidents have been inspired by the president who reigned before them; perhaps Emma McCornick Bird, the first president, started this trend when the organization began in 1916. They have tried to continue and extend the mission of the league.
