Special thanks to all who participated in the Diocesan Development Drive for 2010. I realize that the economy remains somewhat fragile and yet so many of our faithful Catholics gave generously to help us make our goal. >>>

Last October, Father Javier Virgen and I led a pilgrimage to Mexico, where we visited many Marian shrines, including the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Monsignor J. Terrence Fitzgerald's Retirement

Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011
Most have heard the news that Monsignor Fitzgerald has announced his retirement for later this year. Bishop Wester's new blog: Tuesday Tapestry

Saturday, Jan. 08, 2011

SALT LAKE CITY — This blog is the first of an ongoing posting that I intend to write for all in the Diocese of Salt Lake City. This is one way for me to share with you the many and varied experiences I am privileged to have in our great diocese. Throughout the weeks, I meet wonderful people and experience many heartwarming and spiritual events that help to shape our diocese. I am pleased for this opportunity to share these moments with you and to alert you to upcoming events that affect our lives as Catholics here in Utah. This is more in the style of a journal than of an essay and I invite you to "eavesdrop" on my week, realizing that, after all, it is not my week but our week. Thanks for reading – I hope you enjoy these weekly reviews.
