On Friday morning of last week I joined hundreds of our Catholic school employees for a beautiful Mass at Judge Memorial Catholic High School.

After Mass at Judge Memorial Catholic High School last Friday, I attended a degree ceremony in which Father Joseph Frez and I received the second and third degree of the Knights of Columbus.

This past weekend we had two Rite of Election ceremonies in our Cathedral in which our catechumens entered the ranks of the "Elect" and our candidates confirmed their ongoing formation program toward full reception in the Catholic Church.

Many, many thanks to Mr. Gregory Glenn, Cathedral Liturgy Director, and Mrs. Dee Rowland, Government Liaison for the Diocese and Director of the Peace and Justice Commission, who planned and implemented a beautiful interfaith prayer service last week for our immigrant brothers and sisters in Utah.

Father Javier Virgen, Vicar for Hispanic Affairs and Associate Vocations Director; Deacon Ricardo Arias of the diocesan Office of Hispanic Affairs, and I went to Judge Memorial Catholic High School last Thursday to visit the faculty and remind them of the importance of promoting vocations to the priesthood.
